PCA Designers Collaborate With NC State to Design Award-Winning Exhibit

PCA is a proud supporter of the pulp and paper industry curriculum at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. As part of our partnership, we recently helped the university’s Department of Forest Biomaterials to design and build an exhibit booth. The booth was used for the TAPPICon 2022 conference, which is sponsored by TAPPI, the pulp and paper industry’s technical association. The event was held in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the team’s work led to NC State being presented with TAPPICon’s Swaggy Award for its booth.

The award-winning booth was a result of collaborative efforts between NC State personnel and team members at PCA’s retail design centers in Mooresville, North Carolina, and Providence, Rhode Island. The majority of the elements were constructed of corrugated materials, which were designed and produced in Providence. These materials were then shipped to North Carolina, and PCA Mooresville team members assisted with the setup in Charlotte.

According to Jennifer Parr Piercy, Interim Assistant Dean for College Advancement, College of Natural Resources; and Interim President of NC State’s Natural Resources Foundation: “We are grateful for the creative services, materials, brainpower and manpower. We are now proudly displaying some of the components in our building. Again, thanks a million times over. We are grateful for our partnership!”
