For the 23rd consecutive year, PCA’s full-line plant in Minneapolis spearheaded an effort to raise money for the local Toys for Tots, a non-profit organization committed to providing toys, books and other gifts to underprivileged children. In 2017, Twin Cities Toys for Tots donated 238,141 toys to 183,751 children.
This year PCA’s Minneapolis plant coordinated efforts with sister plants in Golden Valley, Minnesota; Omaha, Nebraska; Conrad, Iowa; Marshalltown, Iowa; and Burlington, Wisconsin to support the Toys for Tots organizations in their cities.
According to Jim Schneider, who has championed the effort in Minneapolis since 1996, PCA has now raised over $16,500 worth of toys, books and other gifts. Jim doesn’t have any plans to slow down; his goal for 2019 is to run the best campaign yet by including even more PCA facilities, as well as several customers who have asked to be involved.
