For the past 94 years the Evansville Rescue Mission in Indiana has hosted an annual Gobbler Gathering to provide needy families in the area with food for Thanksgiving. This year, more than 1,800 local families received a food basket from the program which included a turkey, fresh produce and a variety of canned goods. This year in particular was a record-setting one for the Rescue Mission with over 2,200 baskets distributed throughout the greater Evansville community.
PCA’s plant in nearby Vincennes, Indiana, participated in this year’s efforts for the fifth year in a row by producing and donating over 2,000 boxes to package the holiday baskets for transport. According to the General Manager of the Vincennes plant, “We are proud to partner with this great organization during the holiday season to help those in need within our community.”
