This past spring, General and Sales Managers throughout the PCA network participated in a community outreach event in Tucson, Arizona.
The group filled 225 backpacks with PCA-donated items such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, spiral notebooks, scissors and crayons. The backpacks were then donated to the Assistance League of Tucson, who distributed them through their “Operation School Bell” program.
Since 1994, Operation School Bell has provided disadvantaged children in Tucson with appropriate clothing and supplies to encourage regular school attendance and to build self-esteem. More than 50,000 children were helped by the program in 2014 alone.
According to PCA’s Manager of Advertising and Events, who also participated in the outreach, “PCA is excited to be able to impact the lives of children in the Tucson area by providing them with school supplies and hygiene kits.”
