Our Counce mill has two linerboard machines and is PCA's highest
volume mill, producing about 998M tons annually. The #1 paper
machine primarily produces grades 96# through 42#, including many
high-performance, wet-strength, and other specialty grades. The
#2 paper machine was completely rebuilt in 1996 and is a world-class,
state-of-the-art, lightweight linerboard machine, producing grades
from 42# to 31#.
Our Valdosta mill has one linerboard machine and produces about
457M tons of 100% virgin, high quality linerboard annually. Valdosta
can produce a wide range of basis weights (90# through 35#), including
the same high-performance, wet-strength, and other specialties
produced at Counce as well as a number of grades that are excellent
for special printing and coating applications. This wide range
of capabilities makes Valdosta a truly exceptional linerboard
producer. In fact, the mill has been independently judged to have
the best printing quality 35 lb high-performance linerboard in
the industry.
Our Filer City mill has three machines producing about 355M tons
of semi-chemical corrugating medium annually. At this mill, the
#1 and #2 paper machine primarily produce 23# and 26# medium,
running each grade weekly. The #3 paper machine is a heavy-weight
machine, producing grades from 33# up to 40#. During its production
process, Filer City uses about 134M tons annually of old corrugated
containers (OCC).
Our Tomahawk mill has three semi-chemical corrugating machines,
producing over 572M tons annually. Each machine can produce grades
from 23# up to 40#. Typically, 23# and 26# are produced during
the week with the heavy-weight grades running each weekend. With
Tomahawk's geographic location in northern Wisconsin, it has excellent
access to customers in the Greater Midwest.
