Raising the Bar on Safety
October 5, 2011
Another record-breaking safety milestone marked PCA’s history pages on September 21, 2011. PCA’s Edmore, Michigan, facility was the company’s first plant to achieve a combination of over two million man–hours and 11½ years with no lost–time accidents (LTA). Also noteworthy, in addition to no LTAs, is that Edmore has had no recordable accidents in nearly two years.
PCA Edmore is a sheet plant employing just over 80 people. Together, the team focuses its efforts on safety, leadership and learning the fundamentals of the packaging industry, providing an outstanding customer experience every time.
When the general manager of Edmore reviewed the operation’s 2011 accomplishments, he stated how proud he was of his team and that he looks forward to great things in 2012. “We [PCA Edmore] will continue to have a safe work environment, grow profitably, exceed our customer needs and be great shepherds of the communities where we work and live. Together we will continue to raise the bar in 2012 while epitomizing People • Customers • Trust.”
