This past school year, PCA’s Chicago container plant volunteered to provide supplies to one of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). CPS is the third largest school district in the United States, with more than 600 schools serving approximately 400,000 children.
PCA’s plant collected items such as backpacks, pencils, notebooks and folders, which the students at nearby Pasteur Elementary School were grateful to receive. According to a PCA team member who participated in the donation: “We were so happy to be able to help a Chicago public school with their school supply shortage. The school was extremely grateful for the donation, and we hope to help them out again next year.”
