The Special Gifts Theatre production of Sam the Giggling Goose recently came to life with the help of scenery created and donated by the design team at PCA’s plant in Burlington, Wisconsin. PCA provided seasonally changing forest scenes that were utilized as backdrops for the production.
Located in Winnetka, Illinois, the Special Gifts Theatre is an organization that serves special needs children ages seven through adult. The organization provides a “Peer Mentor Program” to build self-esteem in these individuals. As part of this program, mentors are matched one-on-one to become the child’s “theatre buddy” and are onstage with them during each performance.
PCA Burlington was proud to assist this organization in creating a successful program for their participants. The smiles on the faces of the participants, as well as their enthusiasm, demonstrated how these activities truly make a difference.
